Since when did we start playing nice with Death Eaters? And Tonks, please don't lecture me again. This is getting a BIT ridiculous, don't you all think? His sort is ruining Hogwarts! For Helga's sake, why are we humouring him?

If he does need help and he asks for it, then we'll give it to him, but in the meantime, giving him leverage is probably suicidal. He's in this for himself, and once we all realise that, it'll make his actions a bit more understandable. He's getting the shite end of things on the Death Eater's side, so it's only natural that he's eyeing the Order as a potential safe haven. Except he wouldn't be in it to share the Order's ideals--he'd simply be in it to save his own arse.

What gives us the right to judge whether or not a person is worthy of a second chance? If someone wants our help, do we have any right to refuse them because of their family or their past mistakes?

Look, if Malfoy was trying to weasel his way into the Order to bring information back to the Death Eaters, don't you think he'd pick a different approach? Where is having a polite conversation with me going to get him?

I know it doesn't matter what I say here. You'll believe what you like, and that's fine. I just ask that you allow me the same courtesy.

	As suspicious as it sounds, I don't think anyone engaging in conversation with Malfoy would be naive enough to trust him completely or invite him over for afternoon tea at the Order's quarters.
